Chemical Information
FooDB NameChrysophanol 1-tetraglucoside
DescriptionChrysophanol 1-tetraglucoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as oligosaccharides. These are carbohydrates made up of 3 to 10 monosaccharide units linked to each other through glycosidic bonds. Chrysophanol 1-tetraglucoside has been detected, but not quantified in, several different foods, such as arabica coffees (Coffea arabica), coffee and coffee products, herbs and spices, pulses, and robusta coffees (Coffea canephora). This could make chrysophanol 1-tetraglucoside a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Chrysophanol 1-tetraglucoside.
