Thus, (-)-epiafzelechin is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule (-)-Epiafzelechin is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral (-)-Epiafzelechin is found, on average, in the highest concentration in tea (-)-Epiafzelechin has also been detected, but not quantified in, fruits and kiwis. This could make (-)-epiafzelechin a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods.
