Dehydrodihydrocostus lactone is practically insoluble (in water) and an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Dehydrodihydrocostus lactone can be found in burdock, which makes dehydrodihydrocostus lactone a potential biomarker for the consumption of this food product.
