Thus, alfalone is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. Alfalone is practically insoluble (in water) and a very weakly acidic compound (based on its pKa). Alfalone can be found in alfalfa and pulses, which makes alfalone a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products. </description>
