These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Thus, kaempferol 3-[apiosyl-(1->2)-galactoside] is considered to be a flavonoid. Kaempferol 3-[apiosyl-(1->2)-galactoside] has been detected, but not quantified in, chickpeas (Cicer arietinum) and pulses. This could make kaempferol 3-[apiosyl-(1->2)-galactoside] a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on Kaempferol 3-[apiosyl-(1->2)-galactoside].
