Methoxyphenols are compounds containing a methoxy group attached to the benzene ring of a phenol moiety. Dihydroconiferyl alcohol is slightly soluble (in water) and a very weakly acidic compound (based on its pKa). Dihydroconiferyl alcohol can be found in lettuce and romaine lettuce, which makes dihydroconiferyl alcohol a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products. </description>
