FooDB NameCyanidin 3-O-[b-D-Xylopyranosyl-(1->2)-[(4-hydroxybenzoyl)-(->6)-b-D-glucopyranosyl-(1->6)]-b-D-galactopyranoside]
DescriptionCyanidin 3-O-[b-D-Xylopyranosyl-(1->2)-[(4-hydroxybenzoyl)-(->6)-b-D-glucopyranosyl-(1->6)]-b-D-galactopyranoside] belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-3-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Cyanidin 3-O-[b-D-Xylopyranosyl-(1->2)-[(4-hydroxybenzoyl)-(->6)-b-D-glucopyranosyl-(1->6)]-b-D-galactopyranoside] has been detected, but not quantified in, root vegetables. This could make cyanidin 3-O-[b-D-xylopyranosyl-(1->2)-[(4-hydroxybenzoyl)-(->6)-b-D-glucopyranosyl-(1->6)]-b-D-galactopyranoside] a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Cyanidin 3-O-[b-D-Xylopyranosyl-(1->2)-[(4-hydroxybenzoyl)-(->6)-b-D-glucopyranosyl-(1->6)]-b-D-galactopyranoside].
