DescriptionO-2-Methylcytosine is a 2-O-methylated nucleotide residue. Naturally occurring modified residues derived from canonical RNA nucleotides are present in most cellular RNAs; their detection is difficult because of their great diversity and their irregular distribution within RNA molecules.
