These are sesquiterpenoids with a structure based on the eudesmane skeleton. Thus, (+)-beta-selinene is considered to be an isoprenoid lipid molecule (+)-beta-selinene is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
