Butenyl isothiocyanate is practically insoluble (in water) and an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Butenyl isothiocyanate can be found in corn and oat, which makes butenyl isothiocyanate a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products. </description>
